Patricia Foote Kenney has been a member of the Foote Family Association of America since it was reorganized in 1984. Dr. Franklin M. Foote, Pat's father, was one of the reorganizers. Pat is secretary of the FFAA and a member of the Volume III Book Committee.
Pat's husband of forty-two years is John O. Kenney who recently retired from forty-three years of teaching English, drama, and speech to high schoolers. He will be directing a play written by a Foote at our next reunion. Pat and John have five children:
- Susan, a pre-school teacher and administrator
- Tim, a computer systems senior analyst
- Stephen, a senior account manager for EMC
- Robin, a pre-school head teacher
- Caitlin, a physical therapist.
They also have seven grandchildren ranging from a freshman in college to a one-year old boy.
Pat is a University of Vermont graduate and a retired registered nurse who worked at a local nursing home as director of nursing for twenty-one years. She and John are active in their church and like to travel . Pat enjoys reading, hiking, biking, playing hand bells and counted cross-stitch. All their family currently live near each other, which makes for many noisy, lively gatherings.
The Foote Family Association of America has allowed Pat and her family to meet many other "Feete". They've had fun at reunions visiting with family from all over the country. Pat says "be sure to come to Connecticut this July!"
